Sunohara On: CLANNAD S2 EP1

What’s up my babies, your blonde Japanese Idol - Sunohara Youhei is here… with something new.  I’ve re-negotiated my contract with Kobito Anime which is both good a bad news for you.  Good news - I have a new column here at Kobito Anime, every week you’ll be getting my unique take on each episode of CLANNAD Season 2. Bad News - because of the added workload “Dear Sunohara” will only be appearing once a month, meaning you’ll be only getting my Relationship and Love life advice once a month. Oh - more good news…I’m getting more money to write this column.  Some people do it for love, I do it for money.

There was so much goodness in CLANNAD Season 2 EP 1 that I don’t know where to start… so why don’t I start with the best part - me.

Most Dramatic Scene

I bet you were all in tears during my dramatic scene with Yoshino-san.  How could Yoshino-san say no to our request after both Nagisa and turned on the water works for him.  I had no idea I felt that way about Yoshino-san until Tomoya said so.

Sexiest Scene

Admit it you want me, don’t you?  I bet a lot of you ladies can wait to get into my pants after seeing the scene of me up to bat.  Not only did I get to wear my short-shorts, but I got to wiggle my butt for the camera.  I can’t wait to see the amount of fan mail I get after this.  Could Play-Girl be in my future - you can only hope and pray it is.

My Obligatory Comments about the rest of the cast

Like slipping on a used condom, being together with the whole gang again for the first episode had a warm and gushy feeling.  Tomoyo, Kitomi, Kyou and Ryou are a beautiful as ever.  It’s like they didn’t age a bit since last year.  I can’t wait to see which one the writers hook me up with this season - but of course I’m secretly hoping its Tomoyo.

Tomoyo was in fine form wasn’t she?  She destroyed me in record time.  (Asuna - I’m glad to see that is this regard, CLANNAD hasn’t changed much since last season).  And how could I forget to mention my cute little imouto - Mei.  She’s so cute isn’t she?

I wasn’t expecting Yoshino, Minase and the rest to show up early this season.  And who does Yoshino-san think he is?  Doesn’t he know that I’m a comic relief on the show.  What’s up with him getting the passionate soliloquy in the middle of base path?  Not once but twice?  I better watch my back, because if this keeps up Yohino will get more laughs than me this season.

What do you guys think of the “Stars” of the series - Tomoya x Nagisa?  Looking more and more like a couple aren’t they?  That damn Tomoya won’t tell me though how far he’s gotten with her.  When I asked him to show me in secret by going and standing on either 1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd base (I’m assuming all you guys know that 1^st = kissing, 2^nd = touching, 3^rd = *Censored* ) he told Tomoyo that I wanted to round the bases with her.  I guess you all know what happened next - yep a 250 hit death combo.  But whatever - we know that Tomoyo and Nagisa will be together.  I’m more interested what kind of gf Tomoya gets for me next episode.

Asuna’s Wrap up:

Needless to say that CLANNAD is one of Kira and my favorite anime.  CLANNAD Season 2 episode 1 got off to such a great start in my opinion.  We got re-introduced to the full cast of characters, and we haven’t laughed so much during one anime episode since the first season of CLANNAD.  The only thing that would have made this 1^st episode perfect would have been seeing Tomoya & Nagisa kiss.  But I guess we’ll have to pretty much to the end of the series for that to happen on screen.  I can’t wait to see what happens in episode 2.
