What is this? Are we handing out two Hosaka awards within a span of one month? What is this, March of something? Take them while you can, you never know when the river will run dry. We guess the lack of Hosaka awards over the past couple of months has more to do with a lack of source material. Of the 7 current shows we are watching, there is not a true comedy in the bunch. That may change in the coming weeks as a couple of slots open up when Code Geass R2 and Macross end. Granted one slot will be taken up by Gundam 00 Season II, but we have one open. What would you recommend we watch? Slayers Revolution perhaps?

Anyways on to the Award
This week’s - funniest scene not involving Hosaka - award winner is…. Kotoko from Itazura na Kiss EP 17.
For those of you who have not watched Itazura na Kiss as of yet - your missing out. Granted it’s not a straight comedy. It’s more of a regular romance anime. But it has made us giggle a few times, and this past week we laughed out loud for the first time.
Usually the funny in Itazura is brought by Oba-sama. But last week Kotoko brought the funny - albeit unintentionally. This clip also illustrates why we like Kotoko - she’s quirky and cute. Her personality is one of the strong parts of Itazura along with the great love story and fabulous pacing. If you like character development and plot progression in your anime, then this is a must watch for you. Pedo fans need not apply.

Hm, well, I’ll recommend a Rom Com and a Straight-up Comedy with hints of a rather unconventional romance.
Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu has proven to be mostly a sweet little show. Haruka herself is incredibly cute, Yuuto is non-annoying as a lead. There is a sprinkling of Pantsu shots, but nothing too major.
I am also greatly enjoy Kyouran Kazoku Nikki, which is turning out to be a fun slapstick comedy with a surprising amount of heart. Insane catgirls are tops.

Thanks for the suggestions Jobrill - you sold us on Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, so we’ll give it a shot.
We were watching KK Nikki but gave up after episode 6. We might go back to it at some point.

I went with ToraDora. It was a pretty random choice but so far I’m liking it.
