It’s become a tradition for us here are KA to take a look back at some of our favorite shows and pick the top three moments form the entire series. So just like we did for Kurenai and Hosaka we’re going to give the treatment to Toshokan Sensou aka Library War. Oh - we know Hosaka is not a show…. He’s bigger than a show.
And for the record here are our official review scores for Toshokan Sensou
Kira - 3 / 4 Potato Heads

Asuna - 4 / 4 Potato Heads

The reason Kira gave this a slightly lower score than Asuna was because of the final episode. Kira found it a bit lackluster and that it did nothing to build on the excellent episode 11. But to be fair Asuna maybe a bit biased here because she has a fan girl crush on Dojo…. We’ll not really Dojo as much as his hair. Hey he wasn’t voted the hottest guy in anime for nothing.
#3 - Chamomile
Call this the scene that gave us the urge to drink Chamomile tea. We never knew how awesome chamomile was until watching this scene…its can give you strength, cleanse your system, cure syphilis and give guys a long lasting erection.
This scene is actually on the list because it’s the first scene we see of Kasahara and Dojo connecting as a girl and guy who like each other and not as a private and lieutenant. It’s really the only scene where you see them bond like this in this manner. And you don’t know it at the time but the scene becomes really important at the end of the series.
#2 - Dojo is the Prince
When you watch Toshokan Sensou you kinda realize around episode 2 that Dojo is the ‘Prince Charming’ that saved Kasahara when she was a teenager. But since this is an anime, Kasakara herself doesn’t realize this until much much later, even though there are many signs pointing to the identity of her Prince Charming. But it’s not as if she is as dense as Ootani from Love Com. All this actually works however, because when Kasahara does find out that Dojo is the Prince Charming it’s freaking hilarious.
#1 - The Slap
Based on the first few minutes you could definitely sense a Lovely Complex vibe coming from Toshokan Sensou, but all that changes around the 13 minute mark of the first episode. You’ve never seen Ootani lay the smack down on Risa like Dojo did when he slapped Kasahara. But don’t be mistaken, he’s not some male pig. He did it as the commanding officer disciplining his subordinate. But the scene was indicative of what was to follow and really encapsulates Toshokan Sensou
This scene is also number one for another reason. It shows that Kasahara is not your typical anime girl. She can kick but with the rest of the library corps. And she’s not afraid to get her hands dirty. She’s one of our favorite characters in a current anime.
So those are our favorite moments, what’s yours?

This TOp 3 is made of pure Doujou X Iku WIN. I love how you put the slap as first (though Iku and her mom’s slapfight stuck more in my mind), based on how indicative it was of their relationship in their workplace before progressing to fullblown chamomile lovin

Agree, but Doujou x Iku aren’t exactly my favourite couple
