You read that right cute anime fans, as a way to thank you for reading and contributing to Koibitoanime.com - we will be giving away figures from your favorite anime shows.

Introducing Koibito Points

How the give way will work is through accumulation of Koibito Points.  What are Koibito Points?  Think of them as gold stars for making a positive contribution to this site.  You can obtain Kobito Points in a variety of ways, here are some examples;

• You answer our call for help with post, just like Jobrill did by doing a blurb on Vampire Knight for us. (A series that we’re not up to date with).
• You can provide helpful / informative information to a post by commenting. Example if we were to do a write up on let say Ef - A Tale of Melodies, and you dig up the release date for the show & you comment with said info. Provided that the info can be verified, you get a Koibito Point
• You find / create a cool anime related YouTube video and you email it to us - koibito.anime[at]gmail[dot]com. If the video gets posted you get a point.
• You answer a fellow readers question posted in the comments of a post.
• Politely correcting any mistakes we make.  Shouldn’t be hard, we make a lot mistakes.

So as you can see there are many ways to get Koibito Points if you make a positive contribution to the blog.

How It Works

All you need to do is when you comment / email us just keep the same email address and username.   We’ll tally the points weekly and it will be posted on the top left side of the site.

Then after the end of the period, the person or top 3 people (depending on the number of prizes) will be mailed a cool figure or other new anime related swag.

The first contest period is from July 1 - September 30, 2008.  So feel free to start contributing now at anytime (commenting applicable on content posted after July 1, 2008).

What are the Prizes?

It will vary but you can expect anything from brand new figures from current shows to new anime related video games.  We’re open to requests as well.

We’ve pre-order two of these, so we’ll be giving away one as part of the contest

As a way to thank you for reading and making a positive contribution to our site - no hidden motives - pinky swear.

You’ll notice that we’ve given a special bonus point to some readers already.  These are readers that have previously made contributions to the site, and it was our way of thanking them.  If you see that your name is missing from this list and would like to be given a point, just email us and remind us how your contributed in the past - Koibito.Anime[at]gmail[dot]com.
