Asuna’s Highlights
Wow - so much plot development. In the span of 24 minutes, Kotoko and Irie went from an almost couple to dating other people to possibly being engaged to other people.
Gotta love all the character growth too. Naoki went from a sadist to putting other people in front of himself. I thought it was really noble of him to put aside his dreams and desires for his ill farther. It shows some serious character growth for the one time diva.
Speaking of character growth, Kin-chan took some steps in this department too. It looks as if he is the heir apparent to take over for Kotoko’s dad at the restaurant. Then the boy shows he’s got some balls by proposing to Kotoko. It’s obvious that he loves her, but it’s also apparent that Kotoko’s heart still feels for Naoki. No way Kin-chan and Kotoko end up together, but good on Kin-chan for taking a risk. Its far more than what Irie has done so far.
A little bit of the funny came back during this episode. This was mainly through Kotoko’s quirky personality shinning through during the garden scene. It gave us a few laughs.

Look who’s turned into Mr Smooth
Kira’s Lowlights
Can’t hate on this episode too much, it was pretty solid.
The one thing that bugged me was the character design of Christine. This girl was supposed to be dazzling right? We’ll I found her creepy looking - kinda like a life sized Cabbage Patch Kid. I personally think that both Kotoko and Matsumoto are better looking than her.

So scary… We fully expect her to go postal any minute now
Final Thoughts: It’s finally getting interesting here.

Another thing about Kinnosuke’s growth in this episode that I enjoyed was that he really seems to be mature in his attitude toward love as well. He’s no longer the overbearing “Kotoko-chan is mai waifu” type. He was considerate and a gentleman, and didn’t press the issue until he had a chance to ask Kotoko directly and honestly.
The way he said “I won’t make you cry like that” really drove it home for me. He’s completely in love now. He wants Kotoko’s happiness. It makes me feel rather sorry for him that he won’t get her. I mean, Irie’s gotten to the point where he’s a sympathetic character, too, but poor Kin-chan. Hopefully he gets another girl he can fall in love with and treat that way.
