Random Awards: Best Kiss & Best Almost Kiss this Week

Yep - your read the headline right, we’re giving out two awards this week. Best Kiss and Best Almost kiss of the Week from Anime Series. So since your getting double the content, we’ll be expecting double the payment. So send us a check for whatever two times zero is.

What is the random award? Well as it’s name suggest its an award given our by us here at KA based on random criteria, at completely random times. So one day the random anime award may be given for the best opening song from a new series, then the next day the same award could be given out for the best pair of pants to appear in anime … ever. So like we said – random

Anyways on to the Award.

You know, for an anime kiss to be good, it has to share the same qualities as a good real life kiss. And besides tongue, what makes a real life kiss a good? Obviously a partner who knows how to kiss is the big important factor. Last thing you want to do is bang teeth. Next the partner should be someone that you have feelings for. After that we’d have to say passion is a key. Without passion, it’s like kissing your brother or sister. We know in some anime its super hot to kiss your Onii-chan or Imouto, but not so much in real life. And the final thing that makes a good kiss is timing. The moment has got to be right, locked eyes, 100% attention - all that good stuff.

So this week we had 2 nominees, first there was Sheryl and Alto kissing, and then there was Ranka and Alto Kissing. But only one of these kisses met most of the criteria, so

Best Kiss: Ranka & Alto

Granted this kiss occurred while the two were acting in a movie, so we guess technically it may not have counted, but Sheryl & Alto’s kiss was just “practice”, so it doesn’t count either. Ranka wins mainly because of the passion, she obviously let her feelings for Alto come out through the kiss. Plus Ranka wins again because the kiss is under water.

In the history of anime, their have been a lot of kisses that should have happened and never did - Kira & Lacus, Hosaka & Haruka, Tessa & Chidori, Char & Amuro. Wether these two get added to this list remains to be seen.

Best Almost Kiss: Lelouch and Kallen

Question - would Kallen & Lelouch be the anime equivalent of Brad Pitt and Angelina Joulie? You know two super hot people that would make super cute babies. We think so. But we still think Shirley has the inside track to get inside Lelouch’s pants. But Kallen obviously feels something for Lelouch as well. Now we could debate the virtues of a Kallen x Lelouch x Shirley threesome versus a CC x Lelouch x Kallen threesome, but that would be another post all together, and besides your already know our thoughts on this topic.
