Our First Female Winner: Sunohara Mei
Okay to be honest this award could have gone to the whole cast of CLANNAD for their performance in episode 23. Everyone one was awesome, and we haven’t laughed so hard during one episode since Minami-ke (Season 1) ep 12. But we decided to give the award to Mei, since she was the instigator of most of the scenes.
On a side note, have you ever seen a funnier brother sister team in anime than Sunohara Youhei and Mei. Mei is soooo much better in this episode than the her first appearance in the series. We’re really hopping that we get to see more of her in Season 2. Why? Because she is the only one capable of handling Sunohara Youhei without physical violence.
On to the award
From CLANNAD 23: Yaoi and Incest have never been funnier.
Mei tells Tomoya that she has decided to become a cupid of love. Tomoya mistakes what Mei says and assumes that she is looking for a partner for Youhei. When Tomoya replies he doesn’t know a suitable partner for him, Mei responds that there is one in this room. This causes Tomoya’s imagination to run wild.
After Mei clarifies that its not her, Tomoya mistakes this to mean that its him. Cue the imagination running wild again.
Yeah – CLANNAD is awesome.
